After being awarded a B.S. in biology from the University of Wisconsin, Leah earned her Nutrition Educator and Nutrition Consultant certification from the state licensed Bauman College in Berkeley, California. Since graduating from Bauman College, Leah has provided individualized nutrition counseling at the innovative Elephant Pharmacy in Walnut Creek, at GetzWell Pediatrics in San Francisco, and at The Malaya Center in Pleasant Hill.  She currently practices out of her office in Walnut Creek.  She is also a member of the National Association of Nutrition Professionals (NANP), the Holistic Moms Network, the Holistic Pediatric Association, the Berkeley Parent’s Network, Mt. Diablo Mother’s Club and MamaPedia.

Leah offers nutrition planning and advice to help with a variety of conditions and diagnoses, but her areas of specialization are preconception, prenatal, and postpartum nutrition for breastfeeding moms and pregnancy recovery, children’s health, hormone balancing, food intolerances and allergies, digestive disorders, and cleansing and detoxification. She believes in a holistic approach to wellness through diet, supplements, lifestyle, and mental awareness. Leah strives to help her clients find balance in their body to achieve optimum health and wellness.

Leah grew up in Minnesota and now lives in Walnut Creek with her husband and her dog. She enjoys outdoor concerts, camping, hiking, rock climbing, skiing, and yoga. Leah is thrilled to announce her expanding family! She and her husband are expecting their first child in March of 2010 and very much look forward to raising a healthy baby on whole foods and lots of love!
